Over the past decade simulating social processes has become increasingly important in the social and life sciences. The Computational Social Science Society of America organizes its second conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 2011 conference will provide a forum for presenting models and discussing present research and future directions.

Casual dress please. The CSSSA conference wants to foster networking with other scientists. Monday and Tuesday will have an ~ 2 hour mid-day break for self-organized hikes, art tours in Santa Fe, horseback riding, etc. For those interested outdoor activities please bring comfortable hiking clothes and footwear, and rain jacket. Fall weather in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico can be quite cold at this high-altitude.

The conference Hotel Room rate for Bishop’s Lodge is $100 plus tax and $10 resort fee per day/per room. Conference room rates will only be available from 10/6 through 10/12. No rooms will be available from the night of 10/13/2011.
